"hahahahaha..." that was my very first impression of Wakin. Perhaps it's the reason that I am called "hahabear".

My "first encounter" of his laughter was on Star TV. At that time, probably not many people in HK knew about him, me either. I never saw a celebrity laughing as loud as he did, so I wanted to know who he was. ~sigh~ never heard of that name......

A few days later, on the music channel of Star TV (Channel V), a "familiar voice" popped into my ears up.......that was Wakin! Oh my goodness......he was a singer?! I just couldn't believe it! A singer should be very mindful of his voice, how would he laugh like that?! But then, I knew I was wrong. He was, and is, a stone cool singer!

From then on, I just felt like I have been addicted to his voice and everything about him. I started to search for his albums in records stores. And of course, I did make it and got some neat stuff!

I think it was the next year he got more and more popular in HK. And I was so proud! See? I knew that he is a great one last year when no one of u guys figured out about that!

It was wonderful that he was so warmly welcomed by the poor, mean music industry in HK!

I used to discuss with my mom how crazy those fans are - waiting for another human being for hours for just a photo, even an autograph sometimes. Now, I dare not to mention about that coz I did do it myself!! That was nightmare! I dunno how I could do it, but somehow I did! And I felt happy!

I can't remember how I met Pauline. But she's probably one of the very first persons I thought of when I think about Wakin. I am sure all she did is highly appreciated by all of the fans, no matter they're from HK, Taiwan or anywhere.

And I got to know other people who like Wakin as much as, or more than, I do. They are not merely fans, but they are friends! I can't verbalize how moved I was when I reckoned that they are something much more than fans!! And my special thanks to Canna and Pauline!

Listening to Wakin' s music is now part of my life, even when I am now in the States - far far away from home. I did bring along all his albums and they are, in fact, the only CDs I got here.

His music feels like magic! No matter how bad I feel, I can always find some songs of his to comfort me. And whenever I think of his laughter, I know that the world is still as pretty as it can be!

This amazing singer, song composer, father, husband, friend and all u guys will always be in my prayers.
