In 1994, I mixed with a bad company of friends and my school
results were decelerating. I was turning from bad to worse and
I did not go home after school. We always loiter around and
retunred home in the late evening. I almost failed all my subjects.
There was once, I got a terrible scolding from my parents and
they told me to do something about it before I regret/ruin my
future. At that particular moment, I felt very sorry for them
and I was so depressed that I locked myself in my bedroom and
turned on one of the Singapore Radio Station (YES 933) and it
was playing a new song < QI SHI BU XIANG ZOU - Actually I don't
want to go> sang by Emil. I was so touched by Emil's warmth
and passionate voice that tears were rolling down from my eyes.
From then I like that song so much that I persuaded my elder
sister to buy the album for me because at that time I was only
10 years old which I don't have so much money to purchase that
CD. However, she promised to buy me that CD provided that I
stopped seeing my bad company of friends. Of course, I agreed
with her decision as I like that song very much. So, I gave
up on my friendship and decided to turn over a new leaf. Everyday,
I went home immediately after school to listen to that CD as
well as to buck up on my studies. My school grades improved
tremendously. Without this song, I don't think I will success
today. Thanks Emil !
From that day onwards(mid of 1994), I became a fan of Emil
and I collect all his CDs, posters, articles, photos and all
other stuffs that are related to him.
The first time I saw Emil was at Heeren (Singapore). He was
promoting one of his album and I also joined the queue for his
unique signature. I found that he is very friendly and delightful.
He even thank me for supporting him.
In 1995, my elder brother promised to treat me to Emil's Concert
at Singapore Indoor Stadium provided that I passed my major
examination with flying colours. Surely, I put in my very best
effort to study so that I get to go to the concert. However,
I was successfully promoted to the next grade and get to go
to the concert. That was the first time I went to Emil's concert.
It was really wonderful !
In 1997, I also went to Emil's Super World Tour concert with
my partner. The concert was really amazing, marvellous and unforgettable.
On 5-12-1999, I went to Emil's mini concert too! It was so
exciting that we actually sang a birthday song to Emil and he
was smiling all the way. ( What a CHEERFUL singer! :)) The last
time I saw Emil was on the 1-4-2000. He was performing for a
charity show (NKF). It was held at a open space at Orchard Road
(Singapore). It was fun because he actually joked around with
the audience. He was really macho that day!
I will never regret being a fan of Emil Chau. He is a talented,
friendly, cheerful and macho singer. Besides that, he is also
a well-mannered man, good husband and a caring daddy etc.............I
will never feel bored listening to Emil's songs. I really want
to thank Emil for saving my future.
I certainly hope that Emil can read this story personally
because I declared that the above story is a true life account.
Specially for Emil: All the best to whatever you do and I will
always be your fan.
Hope you will in Singapore soon! Thank you Emil !
