There's A Nostalgic Story Behind Each Song

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for writing this in English. It is not that I don't know Chinese Language, but I think I should share my story with all Wakin's fans since not everyone of us knows Chinese (For example, Renee from Malaysia).

I am from Malaysia too and I am now 22. I first listened to Wakin's songs when I was 14. When I was young, I listened to all kinds of songs but I didn't "patronize" in any of them, not until I first listened to "Zhi You Ni"(只有你), which is the first song from the Album . I was on vacation with my family and someone played that song inside the air-conditioned tour bus. I had never heard of a male singer who could sing that well, rendering the melody so nicely with his unique voice. "Wo Zhi Dao, Wo De Xin Zhi You Ni....."(我知道,我的心只有你). It really touched the bottom of my heart. After the trip, I pestered my mother to buy me that album and that was my first Wakin's album. So, from that day onwards, I started to "listen WAKIN".

I have bought most of WAKIN's albums although not all of them because I couldn't find the old ones anymore in Malaysia. I love all WAKIN's songs, they are so "magical" as each of them has emotions, passion in it. I once liked a girl but she only had feelings towards another guy. I was so upset at that moment. Luckily, "Di Que Bi Ta Hao"(的確比他好) from the album comforted and consoled me. Finally, I got over with it. There are many stories (touching, sad, melancholic, happy...) behind each song and it will take pages to recount each and everyone of them here. Wakin's songs have become part of my life. Really don't know what my life will be without his songs. They inspired me a lot, really.

Like Renee from Malaysia, I did have the same dream - to see Wakin in person. I missed a lot of chances just because of all sorts of inevitable circumstances. Luckily, I had the chance to see Wakin performing live during Michael and Victor's concert in Malaysia. I was not there to see Michael and Victor... I was not there to see Rene Liu... I WAS there to see Wakin, although he was just the guest of that concert. Sorry to say that... I apologize to Michael and Victor's fans. I saw Wakin.... yes... I did see Wakin singing "Ni Xi Huan De Hui You Ji Ge"(你喜歡的會有幾個) on stage and I heard his infectious laughter. Albeit seeing him from far away, it is worth it.

Now, Wakin's coming to Malaysia again and I don't want to miss the chance to see him again. I'll let him sign my autograph... I'll shake his hand... I'll smile to him... and I'll tell him "There's a nostalgic story behind each song"...

I love you, Wakin.
